The iCade is a great Accessoire for the iPad. Period. It is very well manufactured and does a realy great job as for substituting a real arcade cabinet. To me it is the perfect solution to play MAME Roms the way they where ment to. It needs little space and is allways ready when you are into some arcade fun. The great thing is that once paired you just fire up your app and thats it. no need for any further pairing stuff at all. Put yur iPad in and go. Another Thing i havent seen mentioned is that you can pass your iPad Charging Cable through the iCade so you can use it as a real Dock or Stand without loosing the Power when you play or just leave it there to charge. Nice idea. The Batterydriven iCade disconnects when no Button is pressed after a few minutes. So, included Batteries should last for a while. Overall i am really surprised what i got for the money here (and paying in Euros was even more expensive). The iCade is a very good developed device and the effort put here pays out in the End Product. Its the Apple Effect when pretty much everything makes sense i think. So if you consider a purchase you sure will not regret. Hopefully developers will support the controls. There are so many games on the appstore that just suck on a touchscreen or tilt controlscheme. No, the joystick ist far from dying and thanks to the iCade just having a renaissance. The iCade is here to stay.
